Product Information

Katazome refers to a Japanese technique of resistance dyeing developed in Kyoto in the 20th century, primarily used for kimono and other fabric design. These richly colored papers are printed by hand, one color at a time, using persimmon-dyed kozo as the stencils, and aided by paste and "Kojiro" (soy bean juice), the pigments absorb deeply into the paper to produce long-lasting color.

Each sheet measures 24 in x 36 in, 60 gsm and has a non-printed border with 4 deckle edges.

*Image is a picture of a segment of the paper,  patterns may appear larger than they are on actual paper.

*Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, the color of products may appear different on different monitors.
