Ise Katagami is a traditional Japanese art technique of making paper stencils for dyeing textiles. It originated in Ise, Mie Prefecture, Japan in the 700s and is used to pattern kimonos, paper and other items.
This origami paper borrows the distinct look of Ise Katagami to create beautiful and colorful floral prints. Slightly thinner than regular origami. 6 sheets each of 4 patterns, 24 sheets total. 15 cm (approx 6 in) squares. Includes English instructions to a small box and a kimono.
