Chiyogami papers are hand-printed using the silk-screen technique, in which each color is individually applied using a separate screen. Sometimes as many as 12 colors, including gold or other metallics, may be used to create a single pattern.

This pattern features pink, red, and white flowers with traditional bridge and pagoda motifs in green. The full paper size may vary marginally, but the patterned area is approximately 24 in x 36 in surrounded by an unprinted border on all sides.
