Product Information

Katazome refers to a Japanese technique of resistance dyeing developed in Kyoto in the 20th century, primarily used for kimono and other fabric design. These richly colored papers are printed by hand, one color at a time, using persimmon-dyed kozo as the stencils, and aided by paste and "Kojiro" (soy bean juice), the pigments absorb deeply into the paper to produce long-lasting color.

This pattern is circles of assorted, colorful or blue botanical patterns on a white background. Each sheet measures 24 in x 36 in, 60 gsm and has a non-printed border with 4 deckle edges.

*Image is of a segment of the paper, not the whole paper. Due to this, patterns may appear larger than they are on the actual paper.

*Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, the color of products may appear different on different monitors.
