Origami Palooza 2026

Join us at our annual Origami Palooza Sunday, August 30 2026 from 11-4 PM. Come to Japantown for a fun-filled day of folding, workshops, and competitions.

Fun Events for All:

This year, we are offering an assortment of fun activities for all ages and experience levels.

Stop by the various tables where our origami volunteers will teach you a model.

Check out our Origami 101 (Beginner Basics) and Origami 201 (Intermediate Basics) to learn more about the history of origami and learn to fold a model to take home.

Enter one (or both!) of our Origami Competitions and win a prize! We will be holding an "Open Competition" for all ages and levels, as well as a special "Boice Wong Competition." Fold a model designed by special guest Boice Wong and enter to win! Judging will occur on the day of the event and you do not need to be present to win. Please thoroughly read all rules and guidelines.
