Product Information

In Japan, monetary gifts are traditionally given in elaborately decorated folded paper "envelopes" called kinpu. They are used for everything from birthdays to funerals, and their decorations reflect the occasion.

This money envelope is for use as a gift to anyone who is unwell or hospitalized. It features the phrase omimai printed on the front with red and white mizuhiki. Measures approx 7.25 in x 4.125 in.

HOW TO USE:

1. Place money into the included money envelope with your name and amount enclosed written on the back.

2. Remove the mizuhiki closure from the paper wrapping and unfold to place the money envelope in the center.

3. Fold the top flap first and the bottom flap second. Make sure the bottom flap is visible when closed. This is important because the other way around is for funerals.

4. Replace the mizuhiki.
