World Origami Days 2026 Paper Pack

Orders must be received no later than October 9, 10:00 am PDT in order to receive it by the start of WOD 2026.

OrigamiUSA (OUSA) and the Japan Origami Academic Society (JOAS) are honored to continue their collaboration for World Origami Days (WOD) 2026, held in memory of Toshikazu Kawasaki (1955–2026).

From October 24 through November 11, 2026, we will present 19 days of online origami workshops, each featuring a model from Kawasaki-san’s remarkable body of work. This special series will celebrate his artistic designs, mathematical innovations, and lasting influence on the international origami community.

Kawasaki-san is best known for his realistic Kawasaki Rose, created through an elegant twist-folding technique. He also developed Kawasaki’s Theorem, a fundamental principle describing when creases meeting at a single point can fold flat. His groundbreaking work in rigid origami has inspired generations of artists, mathematicians, designers, and folders.

Registration is now open on the OrigamiUSA website. Recordings will be available to registrants following each class.
